Senda Dil Dragun Treetop: The New Laax Family Attraction

There is a brand-new attraction called Senda dil Dragun located near the valley station of Laax in canton Graubünden, Switzerland. This forest walkway winds its way through the treetops of the Laax forest for 1.56 kilometers.

Sendadil Dragun – this treetop walkway stretches for about 1.56 kilometers near the Rocks Resort and Laax valley station. This makes for a fun family activity this time of year no matter what the weather. 

Access to Sendadil Dragun

When purchasing a ticket, please ensure that it is for the correct trip (one-way or return). After you have purchased your tickets for the family, you can reach the Treetop Walkway by following the signs. This will say Baumwipfelpfad in German. 

Three levels high, the Treetop Walkway is accessible by elevator or stairs. Both ends have access points, but even more convenient is the access point directly behind Rocks Resort. One option is to do the walkway once in one direction from end to end. Alternatively, you can make a return trip using the same access tower.

After scanning your ticket, you can stroll leisurely along the treetop walkway. Two strollers can pass the walkway at the same time, so those going both ways can easily pass it. It consists of two access towers on each end. There are also four platforms where you can stop and relax. There are also information panels on each platform.

Highlights of Senda dil Dragun

• Murschetg Tower – An access tower near Rocks Resort and Laax Valley Station. This is also where the 73-meter slide is located. In Murschetg Tower, they describe the landscape of Laax and its surroundings before a landslide struck.
• Uaul Casti Platform – Provides an overview of the plants and trees surrounding the Laax forest and how its character changes every few kilometers.
• Ravanasc Platform – In the Laax forest, you can find birds, deers, squirrels, and wolves. This is discussed in the information panel on this platform.
• Dimplaun Sura Platform – A description of the people who have lived and farmed on Laax since the Bronze Age.
• Ual Fraissen Platform – Excellent location for watching and observing the scenery.
• Dimplaun Tower – Another access tower that can be accessed from the village of Laax is Dimplaun Tower. In contrast to the Murschetg Tower, it is smaller and lies a little lower.

Panoramic Views on Sendadil Dragun

Senda dil Dragun provides panoramic views of Laax and its lake. The best vantage point is near the middle of the walkway. You can also catch a magnificent panoramic view of Laax and its surrounding mountains from one of the play treehouses. 

Additionally, walking near trees is a nice change of pace. Fresh air and being able to walk near the leaves are nice instead of being confined to the base of the trees. Seeing the forest from the treetops is very special. You will certainly enjoy it with your entire family. 

Sendadil Dragun: A Family-friendly Attraction

The Sendadil Dragun is a very family-friendly attraction located right in the heart of Laax, Graubünden. Among the things we like that are family-friendly are the following:

• The 73-meter long slide in the Murschetg access tower where kids can slide down inside a grey carpet. The entrance fee covers one ride down the spiral slide. To slide down more than once, you will have to purchase an additional ticket. It is the longest slide in Laax.
• The walkway is stroller-friendly. The elevator allows you to take your stroller up, and the walkways are generally flat and smooth. Furthermore, there is enough space on the walkway for two strollers to pass simultaneously from opposite directions. 
• There are four viewing platforms where the little ones can rest if they get tired.
• Play treehouses are located nearby the other access tower where kids can go up and play. 
• The walk is very easy and not that long that it is easy for pre-school children or toddlers to do.
• Along the way you will encounter animal figures.
• Also present is a performer who sings and tells stories.
• You can learn about the area’s flora, fauna, geology, and agriculture through a digital experience. Narrated by Andrea Zogg, a Swiss actor, this experience will help you learn more about Laax and its surrounding nature. Ami Sabi, a popular local character, also appears in this digital experience.

Senda dil Dragun’s fast spiral slide and treehouse are definitely two of its most exciting attractions for children. 

Summary: Sendadil Dragun

There is no doubt that Senda dil Dragun is an awesome family attraction in Laax. It is suitable for all ages, including infants, toddlers, school children, and adults.

The experience is unique and you may enjoy it. My guess is you will enjoy it as well. Although the price for this short-lived experience might seem a bit high, you could still save money by doing it just one way. Start from the Dimplaun tower so that the children can ride the slide at the very end of the walkway. Once the children are done riding the slide, they can exit the tower and the walkway.

 Would it be worth it to visit Senda dil Dragun? In my opinion, it is a fun and interesting attraction that everyone should give a try. Do we plan on doing it again? Perhaps. Especially if you have limited time and live in the area, this can be a great option. The walk can be completed in one to two hours. Furthermore, it is so close to the parking lot, buses, and several restaurants that it makes it extremely convenient, especially if you don’t have much time to spare. 

The slide will be a hit with the children. It’s fast and exciting. And the easy walk and panoramic views will make the adults happy, too.
